Soak in all this sunshine, and join us next week for our June updates!
June updates meeting pushed back a week, and Marine Storytelling Series has a new biweekly schedule
Summer is a few short weeks away! Stay safe, stay hydrated, and continue making observations on your next outdoor adventure. Our June updates meeting has been pushed back a week to June 18th at 11AM PDT via Zoom. These informal meetings give us a chance to hear from our team of citizen scientists and researchers. Interested in presenting or receiving some feedback on your work? Email us at uc.caledna@gmail.com to reserve a slot at the next meeting. All are welcome, no eDNA experience required.
Kelp Magic's Marine Storytelling Series continues with a new biweekly schedule. This collaborative effort between marine scientists showcases the range of cultural, educational, and scientific perspectives on marine ecosystems. Recordings from previous speakers including Dana Morton, Linda Chilton, Martha Arciniega, and Kyle Cavanaugh can be found on Kelp Magic’s website. Tune in every other Wednesday at 12PM PDT via Zoom.
We want to give a huge congratulations to UC Santa Cruz graduate student Sabrina Shirazi for passing their doctoral defense this week. Way to go, Dr. Shirazi!
See you all at our next meeting!
