All scheduled CALeDNA events have been postponed indefinitely
It’s been a whirlwind of emotions and news these past few weeks. We want to make sure that all of our citizen scientists stay safe, and in following the CDC and state guidelines, our upcoming events have been postponed indefinitely (including mailing out soil kits). In addition, our undergraduate Summer Research Institute has been cancelled, however we are still accepting applications for our UCLA/UCSC Internships. It’s upsetting cancelling our largest events of the year, but our community’s health remains our top priority.
Not everything is blue and doomed! The CALeDNA team is working hard (at home) to upload 1000 eDNA results online for our community scientists to explore. Keep an eye out for more modules on our website to help explore the data and how we process our samples. Once the sky is blue and social distancing practices are no longer enforced, look forward to tons more events! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for behind-the-scenes peeks of what we’re up to.
